Method
In a shaker add all your ingredients except the Mezcal. Before shaking prep your glass. To make the salt rim add a little bit of agave syrup with a brush (or your fingers!) then sprinkle black & white salt. Now add ice to your shaker, shake energetically and pour over ice in your glass. You can optionally add a spray of Mezcal- your cocktail will still remain under 0.5%ABV (which means non-alcoholic) but if you don’t fancy the idea or the taste you can skip it, Healthy Hedonists!

Notes & Favourite Flavours

Mockingbird* is the only alcohol free ‘Tequila’ that uses genuine Blue Weber Agave, allowing you to have all the margaritas with none of the migraines. Mockingbird Spirit also includes Ashwagandha as one of its key ingredients. Ashwagandha is an adaptogen, meaning it helps your body manage stress and anxiety. Prominent in the art of Ayurveda, Ashwagandha is a medicinal herb that can diminish cortisol (stress hormone) levels, reduce blood sugar levels and boost brain function- basically, the opposite to what alcohol does to the body. This means you will feel an energizing, tension-reducing effect when consuming it. Perfect for both a sober night or even a sober life.

Organic Activated Charcoal* This fine black powder made from bone char, coconut shells, peat, petroleum coke, coal, olive pits or sawdust was once considered a universal antidote!
Its porous texture helps trapping toxins and prevents your body from absorbing them which improves the kidney's function by promoting the elimination of toxic waste products. It also has a fabulous colour and gives your drink a mysterious look! But it’s to be used carefully and mindfully, to avoid completely if you are on medication. And for you ladies on contraceptive pills to make sure you have hours (at least 3 we would say 5 to be sure!) between taking your pills and having activated charcoal.

Diversity & Inclusivity

At La Maison Wellness we care and value our community of Healthy Hedonists. We want to make sure we help you on your journey of becoming a mindful drinker while celebrating the everyday life. In our mindful community we work on becoming the best version of ourselves and doing better for this world. It is very essential for us that you all know that you are welcome, that this is your community and everyone has a seat at this table because together we are better

I created this cocktail to support my dear friend Deano Moncrieffe- award winning bartender and owner of Hatcha, a beautiful Tequila Bar in London and founder of the recently launched Equal Measures platform, dedicated to educate hospitality industry on the importance of diversity & inclusivity and to eradicate racism together.

Make this Mindful Cocktail at home, share it with friends and take a moment to reflect on what positive impact you can make, how you can support inclusivity and diversity in your community. If you are a person of colour we want you to know that you are always welcome. This is your community <3
