We love you Healthy Hedonists! From moderators to sober-curious & those whose chosen lifestyle is alcohol-free; one of the things we think is so great about the La Maison Wellness community, is that this is a safe space where we can all have a seat at the table and drink delicious things!! One of the questions we get most at LMW HQ is “what is a Healthy Hedonist” or “how can I become a Mindful drinker?” Well, the good news is that if you are asking these questions… you already are!

 

Being a Mindful drinker is exactly what it says on the tin: being present and aware of what you are putting in your body and why. This greatly increases our enjoyment (try a Mindful Cocktail while paying attention to the experience- smell, taste, the feel of the cold glass- and we guarantee you won’t go back to gulping in front of the TV!) as well as a reminder that what you consume is your decision- if you’re enjoying that glass of wine for its delicious flavour and not because you worry what people will think if you opt for something non-alcoholic at the work party… all power to you! We listen to our bodies and our minds and figure out our unique blend of Healthy Hedonism as we go along… it’s that simple!
