Random Acts of Kindness

for today, and every day

Living in modern life can sometimes feel isolated, disconnected and even hopeless at times. In February, I invite you to take the time to bestow some random acts of kindness: on yourself, on your loved ones, on strangers… on the world! It’s amazing how doing so reminds us how connected we all are, making us feel instantly happier and the world a better place ♥

The following is not a checklist- there is no rule book for love(!)- but if you’re stuck for ideas, here are some of my favourite ways to show up and show love and kindness…

Write a Gratitude list and be sure to tell those people you are grateful for

Send a kind message to 5 people you know RIGHT NOW

Say hi to your neighbours and check to see if they need anything

♥   Choose someone you appreciate… your partner, best friend, flatmate, dog, whomever you love! Commit to paper the things that are great about them.

♥    Write a positive comment on your favourite blog, website, or a friend’s social media account.

♥    Start the day by giving yourself and someone else a compliment

Share a list of book recommendations: or maybe it’s movies, podcasts or your favourite tunes

♥    Mail a cooking recipe you made and enjoyed, perhaps adding “I tried this the other day and loved it, I thought you might want to try to make it too as I think you will like it”

♥    Support a good cause. Financially if you can, but that’s not the only way! Share and raise awareness, offer your time and support… every little helps!

♥ Buy a meal for someone in need. I approach, say hi and ask if I can buy them something and what they would like… like literally taking their order, because sometimes that’s what it means to be in service to the world!

♥ Say thank you more

♥ Smile beneath your mask

♥ Make eye-contact and take the time to thank the delivery person dropping packages, or delicious takeaway food

♥ Call a friend & listen to them. Make them feel supported and heard

♥ Call that person you know you need to call!

♥ Buy a plant. For yourself, or for someone else. Nature is a fabulous healer

♥ Write a positive note or draw something that will make you smile. Stick it to your window or door, or someone else’s!

♥ Make it a priority to make someone smile today. It can be you.

♥ Do something for yourself this week

♥ Do something for someone else, a selfless act of kindness. They don’t even need to find out it was you!

These are some random acts of kindness that I love & perhaps some will resonate with you?

Mindfully Cami ♥
